 Stephen Bell – Grady Pilgrim Christakis Bell LLP

Stephen Bell is a firm founder at Goldberg Kohn and chaired The Real Estate Group from 1996-2006. During Mr. Bell's 35-year legal career, he has represented clients in a wide variety of businesses, including insurance companies, pension funds, commercial banks, and entrepreneurs. Mr. Bell has lectured for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education program. He was selected by his peers to be included in the 2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Bell received his A.B. with honors from Wheaton College and his J.D. cum laude from Harvard University. He has been an IFYC board member since 2006.
 

 Tarek Elmasry McKinsey Consulting

Tarek Elmasry is a Director in the Chicago office at McKinsey Consulting. Currently he leads all recruiting efforts in the Midwest as well as serving clients in high tech, telecom, and consumer products. Mr. Elmasry has historically led the Telecom & High Tech practice in the Midwest. Prior to joining McKinsey, Mr. Elmasry started and ran an advertising sales company. Mr. Elmasry holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in economics from the University of Chicago and a M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Marketing and Finance. He is also very active in the community as a member of the Executive Club. Mr. Elmasry has been an IFYC board member since 2007.
 

Reverend Dr. William G. Enright Lake Institute of Faith & Giving, The Center on Philanthropy

Rev. Dr. William G. Enright is Executive Director of the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University and former Senior Pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis. He is a graduate of Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California and McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, Illinois. His Ph.D. is from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He also holds two D.D. (honorary) degrees from Hanover College, Hanover, Indiana and Dubuque Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa. Dr. Enright is currently a director of the Lilly Endowment, Inc, The Wishard Hospital Foundation Board and a trustee of Hanover College. His most recent appointment was as “Advisor for the National Cathedral Association” of the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. Dr. Enright has been an IFYC Board Member since 2009.

Sunil (Sonny) Garg is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Exelon Corporation. Prior to joining Exelon, he was a research associate for The University of Chicago’s Chapin Hall Center for Children from 1994 to 1997 before becoming an assistant to Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley in 1997. In 1999, Mr. Garg was appointed a White House Fellow by President Clinton and served as a special advisor to the deputy director of the White House Office of Management and Budget. He holds a BA and MBA from the University of Chicago and a master’s in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

 Dr. Robert H. Gertner University of Chicago Booth School of Business
Dr. Robert H. Gertner is the Wallace W. Booth Professor of Economics and Strategy at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He focuses his research primarily on industrial organization, resource allocation and decision making in organizations, corporate investment, law and economics, and strategic pricing. Prior to accepting his position at the Chicago Booth, Gertner was a research fellow for the National Bureau of Economic Research, taught courses as a visiting associate professor of management and strategy at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and worked as a full-time consultant for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T). He earned a bachelor's degree summa cum laude in economics from Princeton University in 1981 and a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986. Dr. Gertner has been an IFYC Board Member since 2008.
 
 Neal Goldman Uhuru Capital Management
Neal Goldman is a Managing Partner at Uhuru Capital Management LLC, a global asset management firm that contributes a significant portion of its profits to leading social entrepreneurship organizations that support economic and human capital development in the markets in which Uhuru invests. Previously, Mr. Goldman was the co-founder and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Goode Holdings LLC. Goode Holdings is an investment holding company that initiates and invests in operating companies in the information technology and financial services sectors and is the sponsor of a $225 million private capital fund focused on investing in middle market consumer companies. Mr. Goldman received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and has served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Columbia Business School. He is a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations and a board member of Doctors of the World – USA.
 
 Dr. Anne C. Hallett, Esq. Grow Your Own Illinois
Previous IFYC Board Chair
Dr. Anne C. Hallett consults on education, community, and philanthropy. She serves as director of Grow Your Own Illinois, founded and served as Executive Director of the Cross City Campaign for Urban School Reform, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Neighborhood Technology and Community Organizing and Family Issues. Dr. Hallet co-wrote the Chicago Annenberg Challenge proposal which provided $49.2 million to Chicago’s school reform efforts. As Executive Director of the Wieboldt Foundation in Chicago, she co-chaired the Neighborhood Funders Group and chaired Chicago Women in Philanthropy. She also served as the founding Executive Director of the Chicago Panel on School Policy and chaired the Governing Board of the National Committee for Citizens in Education. She was Executive Director of Citizens Education Center in Seattle and was founder, chair, and chief lobbyist for Citizens for Fair School Funding which advocated successfully for school finance reform in Washington State. Dr. Hallett has been an IFYC board member since 2004.
 Ron Kinnamon  YMCA of the USA
Previous IFYC Board Chair

Ron Kinnamon retired as Assistant National Executive Director of the YMCA of the USA. He is very active in Character Counts! and served as Chair for ten years. He is an active board member of the Josephson Institute of Ethics in Los Angeles. He serves as Chair of the National Nominating Committee for the National Board of the YMCA of the USA. Mr. Kinnamon volunteers his time with several community and church organizations in Chicago. He serves on the board of the Uhlich Children’s Advantage Network and on the Board of Trustees of Aurora University and St. Pauls United Church of Christ. A few years ago he was a volunteer Vice President of Colin Powell’s American Promise and was an active volunteer of the Points of Light Foundation in Washington. Mr. Kinnamon has been an IFYC board member since 2004.

 Jeffrey C. Levy Lambert's Cove Acquisition Corporation
Jeff Levy is an experienced serial entrepreneur who has founded, built and managed four successful technology-based start-ups over the past 14 years.  He is currently CEO and President of Lambert’s Cove Acquisition Company, a special purpose acquisition company formed to invest in a platform business in the telecommunications/media/technology sector.

Mr. Levy has served in leadership positions on a number of community and civic boards, including the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism, the Atlanta International School, The Temple, the American Jewish Committee, and the Technology Association of Georgia. He serves on the dean’s advisory board of the Georgia Tech College of Computing and is a past chair of the Emory University Board of Visitors. In addition, he is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. 

Mr. Levy received his Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Harvard College and his Juris Doctorate cum laude from Harvard Law School. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Valerie, and their three children. Mr. Levy has been an IFYC board member since 2009. 
 

 Howard Morgan – Citibank Corporation

IFYC Board Chair
After graduating from Lafayette College in 1957, Howard Morgan joined Citibank in New York. During his forty one year career at Citibank he held a series of management positions involving client relationship management in the consumer, corporate and private banking functions. Mr. Morgan is involved in a number of Chicago’s prominent cultural and educational organizations including:  the immediate Past Chair of the Board of the Chicago Theological Seminary, a leading institution of higher spiritual education affiliated with The United Church of Christ. He also currently serves as a trustee of The Court Theatre in Chicago.

Mr. Morgan is a Life Director of The Lincoln Park Zoo of Chicago where he previously served as its Chairman. He also has served as a Director of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, The American Bible Society, and St. Ignatius College Preparatory School. He is a recent past Chairman and now a Life Director of the Executive Service Corps of Chicago, a volunteer organization of retired executives who consult with Chicago area nonprofits, schools and government to enhance people’s lives. Mr. Morgan has been an IFYC board member since 2008.

 Dr. Harold Richman - Lifetime Director Chapin Hall Center for Children
It is with great celebration of the life he shared that we honor Dr. Richmond’s passing on July 30, 2009.

Harold A. Richman is the Hermon Dunlap Smith Professor of Social Welfare Policy Emeritus in the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. Dr. Richman has been on the faculty of the University of Chicago since 1967 and served as Dean of the School of Social Service Administration from 1969 to 1978. He was the founding chairman of the University's public policy studies program from 1974-77 and received the University's Quantrell Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1990. He was the founding Director and currently a Research Fellow at the Chapin Hall Center for Children at the University of Chicago. He is currently co-chair of the Aspen Institute Roundtable on Community Change and is on the boards of The John Gardner Center at Stanford University, The Michael Reese Health Trust in Chicago, After School Matters in Chicago, The Children’s Institute at the University of Capetown in Capetown, South Africa, The Information and Research Center of the King Hussein Foundation in Amman, Jordan, The Brookdale Center on Children and Youth in Jerusalem, Israel, the SEED Foundation in Washington, D.C., and is chairman of the board of the Center for the Study of Social Policy, Washington, D.C. Dr. Richman received his degrees from Harvard University and the University of Chicago and was a White House Fellow and Special Assistant to the Secretary of Labor from 1965 to 1967. Dr. Richman has been an IFYC board member since 2006.

 Dr. Gail L. Rosseau Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch

Gail L. Rosseau, M.D., is Chief of Surgery at the Neurologic and Orthopedic Institute of Chicago (NOIC) and Director of skull base surgery services at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch (CINN) in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Rosseau is the recipient of many honors and awards, including Chicago Woman Mentor of the Year and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/American College of Surgeons Health Policy Fellowship. She has been listed in Best Doctors in America, Who’s Who in America and the Consumer Research Council’s Guide to Top Surgeons. She has served on the FDA Advisory Council for Neurological Devices. She has served in a number of leadership positions in organized neurosurgery both nationally and internationally. Dr. Rosseau is frequently quoted in news articles relating to neurological sciences and health. She has appeared recently on the public broadcasting network medical program, Second Opinion and 60 Minutes II. She has appeared on national and local network television and radio programs, as well as print media. Dr. Rosseau has been an IFYC board member since 2009.

 Rev. Susan Thistlethwaite Chicago Theological Seminary
The Reverend Susan Brooks Thistlethwaite, Ph.D., is the Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress and President Emeritus of Chicago Theological Seminary, where she has been a Professor of Theology for 20 years. An ordained minister of the United Church of Christ since 1974, she is the author or editor of thirteen books and has been a translator for two different translations of the Bible. She also sits on the boards of Theology Today, Association of Theological Schools, Center for American Progress, Faith in Public Life, Medill Center for Religion and the News Media, and Northwestern University. Rev. Thistlethwaite has a Ph.D. from Duke University, a Master's of Divinity (Summa Cum Laude) from Duke Divinity School and a B.A. from Smith College. Rev. Thistlewaite has been an IFYC board member since 2007.
