BECCA HARTMAN

BECCA HARTMAN

Development Associate

Becca is a Public Interest Program Fellow with IFYC and a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where she studied Philosophy and Religion.  Her Religion Honors Thesis examined the impact of discussion and action surrounding sexual orientation on the personal identities and institutional structures of American Baptist Churches USA.  At NU Becca was active in organizing interfaith educational and collaborative projects, including a Day of Dialogue panel, a Day of Interfaith Service, and weekly seminars.  As IFYC’s Development Associate, Becca has the privileged task of explaining how IFYC’s innovative programs, collaborative networking, and visionary philosophy meet the world’s needs and funders’ interests.
Before coming to IFYC, Becca interned with the African Religious Health Assets Program at the University of Cape Town to map the impact of faith-based organizations on the public health needs of sub-Saharan Africa.  Nurtured by a loving church in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Becca has found the potential for radical love in community and its call to social justice central to her commitment to follow the profound example of Jesus.
