We seek interns committed to the vision of the Interfaith Youth Core who will promote religious pluralism around the country and the world. Interns must have a strong interest in interfaith relationship-building, community service, civic engagement and youth empowerment. We also seek individuals with excellent interpersonal skills excited to work in a culturally diverse environment.

Development Intern
The Development Intern works in partnership with the Development Director and Associate surrounding all aspects of fundraising. The Development Intern will assist the office to prepare grants, update current and potential funding sources on the progress of IFYC programs, and updating the fundraising database. The Development Intern will serve as a liason between the organization and its funders and will be responsible for sending acknowledgement and update letters to funders and foundations who have supported IFYC. |
Public Advocacy Intern The Public Advocacy Intern works in partnership with the Public Advocacy Department and its staff to assist the organization in creating positive and proactive media outreach and effectively promote the organization to the media and greater public. IFYC’s Public Advocacy program generates the broadest possible public support for interfaith youth work through presence with the media, circles of recognized influence and the world of virtual communication. The intern will help maintain the Public Advocacy database of media contacts, collaborate with the Executive leadership to upkeep IFYC’s website, and track media impressions and executive director’s media appearances. The intern will also have the opportunity to assist executive director with research for written work and interviews and attend all Public Advocacy related events. |

Leadership Intern The Leadership Intern works in partnership with the Leadership Coordinator and Associates to develop a network of leaders with a sustained commitment to advancing religious pluralism among youth. The Leadership Intern will support all projects under the Leadership Department umbrella including the IFYC Fellows Alliance, conferences and sector gatherings. The Leadership Intern will have the opportunity to participate in strategic visioning and general planning for upcoming programming initiatives. |
Outreach Education and Training Intern The Outreach Education and Training (OET) intern works in partnership with the OET Coordinator and OET staff to promote interfaith dialogue on high school and college campuses around the country. The OET Intern will work closely with OET associates to find ways to improve existing interfaith dialogue curricula and provide meaningful service projects that bring together different faith based communities. The OET Intern will also participate in the implementation of OET trainings and dialogue facilitation at local sites around the city which work with high school and college students. The OET intern will also help create reports to evaluate the previous year’s work. |
